Courage is knowing what is more important than fear

Courage Knows What Is More Important

Courage is acknowledging the fear and knowing that something else is more important than that fear. And knowing what that “something else” is can be so empowering. Knowing what is more important than your fear can give you the power to muster up the courage to face your fears. What is that “something else”?

  1. I always enjoy your posts, positive and sincere. Overcoming fear is possibly an exaggeration though I think. Overcoming implies that that the fear is removed. Polls have said that the greatest fear people have is public speaking, and #2 was death. Surprising isn’t it. I think people actually learn to manage their fear, and people who speak publicly and probably entertainers also, actually learn to manage their fear and nervousness and channel that energy in a positive way. I have heard it described as teaching the butterflies in the stomach to fly “in formation”.

Often times fear stands in the way of achieving personal growth, or even enjoying a moment to the fullest – I hope we can all train ourselves to deny fear victory and make it ride in the back seat of our lives.

    1. Fear does not really go away, so there is no finality when we overcome fear. It’s said that courage is a moment, that moment when you did something despite the fear. I like the idea of “teaching butterflies in the stomach to fly in formation”.😊
