May Courage Challenge

For the month of May, the challenge is to confront the unknown by doing something new.

May Courage

By daring to do something you have never done before, you will allow yourself to confront the fear of the unknown, the fear of not knowing, the fear of looking like a fool and making new mistakes. Stepping into new, uncharted territories is understandably scary. We simply don’t know what will happen. We don’t know how it’s going to change us. Many dreams are left unrealized because of the fear of not knowing what’s out there when we take new steps.

I’m taking on this challenge emboldened by the thought that the discovery will be my reward. I may fail, I may make mistakes, I may look like a fool. But I will think of myself a victor just by the thought that I expanded my familiar territory and learned something new.

I hope you take on this challenge with me.

  1. I like this challenge idea and it appears that you throwing down the glove of challenge for yourself also. Do you know what most people say is their number one fear? even ahead of number two? (which is death). The answer is Public Speaking. Unless you live in Antarctica there is a Toastmasters Club near you, I’d love to hear about your experience as a guest (you are welcome to visit a club as a guest up to three times). You can find a club near you and learn more about Toastmasters at toastmasters.org.
Now for me, I like the challenge and I think I know what I will do. I will report back later. 🙂
