Fear and Courage

“Bran thought about it. ‘Can a man still be brave if he’s afraid?’
‘That is the only time a man can be brave,’ his father told him.”
– George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)

Fear and courage go hand in hand. Courage cannot manifest without first a fear. It is okay to be afraid. For it is through our fears that we find our courage. In the same manner that we can be grateful for the shadows, for it means there is a light somewhere.
