When I wished for Courage for 2015, I began to see how everything seems to align to make this happen for me. I began to be aware of books about Courage, of old posts on my Facebook. Signs are practically everywhere, urging me on. One of the signs was finding this journal at Marshalls. “Do one thing every day that scares you.” It just begged to be brought home. I purchased it immediately. (For those interested, this is the journal.)
The first journal entry prompts me to list the things that scare me.
And the last page asks me to list the things that no longer scare me. That’s one powerful page right there! I will keep on going back to this last page throughout this journey. It is very encouraging to imagine that if I keep this going, at the end of the year, I will have a list of things that no longer scare me. How exciting!
A year from now, I’d like to read on this last page that I am no longer scared of: (1) Writing for a growing readership, (2) Public speaking and joining Toastmasters, (3) Skydiving, (4) Selling something I created, (5) Publishing my photos. (Rough draft of list)
//How about you? What would you like to see a year from now in your list of “things that no longer scare me”?
