What Do You See When You Look Back

New Year comes with gifts of its own. A fresh start. A clean slate. And also, reflection. Retrospection. It prompts many of us to stop and look back on the year that is ending.

As we look back on 2014, may we find that even…
On the most overlooked of moments, there was JOY
On the darkest of hours, there was FAITH
On the direst of circumstances, there was GRATITUDE

In the moments that we regretted
May we see instead the LESSONS to carry forward

In the moments that we fretted
May we see instead a renewed RESOLVE to do something

In the moments that we envied
May we see instead the INSPIRATION that we, too, can be better, can do better, can have better

In the moments that we lacked
May we see instead the CREATIVITY that was spurred from our resourcefulness

In the moments that we grudged
May we see instead the ABUNDANCE of blessings in our life, that we are too blessed to be bitter

In the moments that we struggled
May we see instead the VICTORY from conquering what we thought was difficult

In the moments that we suffered
May we see instead a new level of STRENGTH we didn’t possess before

In the moments that we were embarrassed
May we see instead the HUMOR of those situations and laugh

In the moments that we saw our worst version of ourselves
May we see instead FORGIVENESS and REDEMPTION

In the moments that we were exhausted
May we see instead the REWARDS of our labor

In the moments that we felt helpless and hopeless
May we see instead that we survived with a newfound power

In the moments that we almost gave up
May we see now that we didn’t, and that must count for something

In the moments whether good or bad,
May we see now that there is truly
A SILVER LINING IN EVERY CLOUD.

May we constantly look for the good, the positive, the blessing, the beautiful.

Here’s to a new year filled with blessings and bliss, gratitude, good vibes and Grace. May we find more moments to be a joy to others, more opportunities to say “Thank You”, and more of the good stuff to say “More, please”.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! HELLO, 2015! xo Jan

  1. Greetings! Quick question that’s entirely off topic.
Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly?

My weblog looks weird when viewing from my iphone4. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able
to resolve this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share.
    Cheers!
