The Little Prince

“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”

And my heart was aflutter when I saw the trailer for the Little Prince. I can’t wait!

This book is a classic! It’s nice to read it every now and then to be reminded:

“All grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it.”

Every child must read this at least once. And they only need to read it once to understand the truth.

“Only the children know what they are looking for,” said the little prince.

And every adult must read it again at least twice.

“Grown ups never understood anything by themselves.

And it is rather tedious to have to explain things to them time and again”

The book is replete with lessons and wisdom that seem so simple at first that even children can understand, but so deep that even adults cannot grasp.

“The only things you learn are the things you tame”

“It’s much more difficult to judge oneself than to judge others.”

“If you succeed in judging yourself rightly, then you are indeed a man of true wisdom.”

“Of course, I love you,’ the flower said to him. ‘If you were not aware of it, it was my fault.”

“No one is ever satisfied where he is.”

What makes this book a favorite among many…

“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret:

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly;

what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

    1. It’s a great book. I’d recommend it for adults than for kids, because the former are the ones who need to be reminded to keep on looking through the eyes of a child in order to really see what truly matters in this world, to keep that sense of wonder. I hope you’ll get to read it. I might reread it myself. 🙂
